DEVELOPMENT MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE
_____________________________
Collaborating with National Parks, Conservancies and Reserves, we are consultants & trainers to farmers, pastoralists & organizations- private, government and NGO.
We are investing in rural people.
Facilitating sustainable, scalable opportunity for development for local farmers and pastoralists living alongside protected wilderness and wildlife - supporting them in their journey to a healthy, sustainable independence and contributive co-existence with that wildlife nearby.
After years of handouts, organizations & stakeholders are finally realizing that the future of development must be sustainable & scalable; a hand up that encourages independence.
We've already been doing that for 14 years.
We collaborate to introduce & incorporate our ethos & methodologies into existing programs.
Our development priorities are poverty alleviation, social protection and simple green technologies that mitigate climate change and build climate resilience to protect and enhance indigenous knowledge.
We believe in empowerment, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and learning to think ahead.
Our pay-forward methodologies, when embraced by the community, secure the future of its children and build relationships with neighbouring communities.
Our methodologies reinforce an equitable sharing of benefits where community members lift each other as they rise, rather than waiting for charity.
There is no dignity, no independence and no future in a handout. There is no end to the possibilities of a hand up.
"We touch and own this project" -Simon, Barlonyo Community, Uganda
And all of these outcomes ensure the welfare of the nearby protected wilderness spaces and the wildlife within.
We are continually heartened by simple stories of real, sustainable change through hard work and determination. Stories of new found domestic peace and partnership, and the pride of being able to “lift as you rise” Even the smallest change can create long-term thinking, unlocking human potential. Entrepreneurship. Community empowerment. Dreaming. People changing their lives.
Better healthcare, access to education, and home improvements, and micro-businesses opportunities, all generated by the community, not charitable handouts.
